I thought it was seriously my installation of WordPress that was bugging out on me, and causing me to get so many spam comments. Unfortunately, there’s really no way to stop it, no matter how many spam plugins you have. Guess some people have nothing better to do, then spam your site, and find ways to do it. *sigh*

Hope you start feeling beter soon. Being sick is definitely not fun.

I really hope you feel better. I used to be sick quite often as well due to my anemia. As you may know, anemia causes you to be weak and cold all the time which in turn made me want to sleep all time. I was quite moody. After I became pregnant with my children both times, the anemia went away. Now, I think it’s back.

I’m using greymatter and I was going through my archives and on one of my posts, I had 56 comments! What spam software did you install?

i hope you feel better girl. i always wind up getting sick because someone in my family decides to bring it home lol =\ i just tell them to stay away from me. i cannot afford taking off from work psh.

i guess since i barely use my site i never get the spam comments. from novemeber to now i had like 2.

‘m so sorry to hear about you getting sick. I am an asthmatic too so i know that once one little thing happens the asthma usually gets set off too. Which makes it that much harder to recover in a timely manner. But i’ll keep you in my prayers =) Glad to hear bout your mood improving.

I know of a lot of people having the same spam problem. I think its because the wordpress people are so busy making a new updated version every two weeks that they cannot keep up with making their system spam-proof. let me know how that new pluggin works.

Wow, I hate getting sick! Especially in summer!!
anyway, my wordpress doesn’t get any spam..and i don’t even have a spam protection..

Omg, severe asthma attack? Not good. Hope you get better soon.

And the same thing has been happening to me. I had a Spam Protection program but it doesn’t work anymore since I updated WordPress to 2.8 and now I get like tons of spam each day. It’s crazy.

Wow. How rough. Getting sick caused the asthma attack? You poor thing!

I haven’t noticed an increase amount of spam, but I haven’t blogged in a while so I’m probably out of the loop.

I haven’t received any spam, but I believe one of David’s blogs was recently spammed. WordPress has a love/hate relationship with its users. I’m sorry you’re sick! I had a stomach virus last week and it was terrible. I was so mad. I hope you feel better soon.
